MS, MHP

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Counseling

Hi! My name is Jack (he/him). I work with clients ages 12 and up. I have special passions for treating folks struggling with disordered eating patterns, negative self talk, self harm, suicidal ideation, and symptoms of post traumatic stress. As a transgender and autistic therapist I love to work with clients looking to explore and process gender, sexual orientation, and neurodivergence.

My clinical practice is based in positive and strengths-based psychotherapy; which is just as much about grieving hardship as it is about leveraging the things we are best at to thrive. I often utilize an existential approach to discuss risk-taking and crisis behaviors; if you feel like life isn't worth living, I want to explore that with you instead of shutting it down.

I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and I have seen many clients make monumental progress using that treatment protocol. I consider DBT an innovative philosophy to approach behavioral systems, but not a cure-all. I am dedicated to actively engaging with anti-racism and decolonization of my clinical practice. On a foundational level, I do this by recognizing the tenets of white supremacy in my training and the psychology field.

I am working under supervision for my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credentials. I do not provide formal or informal assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I look forward to talking with you :)
